A liquid concentrate for a two-bath sulfide toner designed to tone black-and-white photographs to shades ranging from yellow-brown to brown or purple-brown. The saturation and hue of the final color depend on the temperature of the second (i.e., toning) bath. It is suitable for toning both resin-coated (RC) paper (e.g., Fomaspeed) and fiber-based (baryta) paper (e.g., Fomabrom). The toner can be used on both newly processed photographs and older prints. Since the toning process slightly reduces image contrast, only high-contrast photographs with well-defined shadow areas are suitable for this procedure; for this reason, it is advisable to slightly overexpose the photographs.
