FOMAPAN R is a black and white, panchromatically sensitized film intended for making black and white slides or for shooting with a film camera. The film is characterized by very good resolution of fine shades of gray in areas of highlights and in areas of shadows. In the area of normal exposures, the linear part of the sensitometric characteristic shows a slope of 1.1. The spectral sensitization of Fomapan R is chosen so that during daylight exposure the film faithfully converts color tones into the gray scale and at the same time so that during exposure under artificial light the film's sensitivity is fully utilized. Thanks to the very effective anti-halation layer, located between the support and the emulsion layer, the film is characterized by very good resolution and high edge sharpness. The anti-halation layer discolors during processing.
