FOMATONE MG Classic is a variable gradation photographic paper, working in a warm tone, especially suitable for portrait photography and retro-style work. Its gradation changes when exposed using color filters in a wide range from extra soft to ultra hard. It is made using a special chlorobromide silver emulsion, which gives the developed silver image a brownish-green to warm brown tone, which can be further influenced by the type of developer. The substrate on which the material is produced is colored in accordance with the tone of the developed silver, which highlights a rich scale of warm halftones from light cream to deep brownish-green, brownish-black or orange-black, etc. FOMATONE MG Classic has a lower sensitivity, therefore it is mainly suitable for contact work, but it can also be used as an enlargement paper. FOMATONE MG CLassic is produced using baryte cardboard (FB), with a semi-gloss (131) and semi-matte (132) surface.
