FOMAPASTEL MG is a completely unique black and white paper made on a baryte paper base (FB). Its gradation can be changed during exposure using color correction filters in a wide range from extra soft to ultra-hard. However, due to the nature of this type of paper, it is advisable to set the filtration for higher gradation levels. The darker color of the base also predetermines the preference for more contrasting image originals for exposure on this type of black and white paper. FOMAPASTEL MG exhibits a lower to medium level of optical sensitivity, which allows the application of enlargement and contact copying methods. The original for contact copying or enlargement can also be a digitally captured negative image on transparent foil. The resulting black and white image with a color background provides very impressive results for suitable motifs. This special type of paper is intended especially for artistically more stylized artistic photography and various photographic concepts, motifs, genres (portrait, still life, landscape, abstraction, etc.), styles, concepts, etc. ("vintage", pop-art, photography, etc.). FOMAPASTEL MG is made using chlorobromide silver emulsion, which gives the developed silver image a neutral tone and is characterized by a rich black rendering. FOMAPASTEL MG is produced on a thick (DW) paper base (cardboard) with a semi-gloss surface and in six different color shades: cyan, magenta, yellow (CMY) and red, green, blue (RGB).
